Karen, a wife and mother of a blended family of six, understands firsthand the power of transformation. Her journey of self-discovery was born from the realization that she needed to shift her mindset—not simply for herself, but as an act of courage and leadership for her family and community. Breaking free from confining expectations and generational patterns, Karen made a pivotal decision: to live authentically, outside the boxes that once restricted her.

This bold step set her on a path of healing, evolution, and personal growth—an ongoing journey that empowers her to make healthy choices and thrive. Her story is not just one of personal triumph, but a testament to the potential each of us holds to serve as a trailblazer for those we love, lighting the way for others to pursue wholeness and fulfillment.

All too often, we live our lives and make choices or decisions that satisfy other people as we attempt to live up to historical and generational traditions, patterns, and expectations of others. In doing so, we find ourselves continuing to strive to “be…” Instead of thriving in life, there’s a search while wrestling with the true meaning of life and exploring the question, “Who am I?”

Karen, an Empowerment Keynote Speaker, Certified Co-Active Professional Life Coach, Strategist, Solutionist, and Teacher, is the author of “Identity Reset: A Guide to Getting out of the Boxes,” which focuses on self-discovery, and “Let the Daughters Arise,” which shares nuggets of wisdom from women who decided to rise above their circumstances and win!

Karen’s lived experience, master’s degree in social work, and over 30 years of serving in the field of human services, social services, child welfare, and teaching within graduate and undergraduate Social Work programs, equips her to journey with, empower, and mobilize others.

While living a balanced life, Karen enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, traveling, planning/hosting events, skating, serving others, and she has a weakness for desserts, jewelry, and handbags.
